This Roche de Bellene originates from the Saint-Aubin Premier Cru La Chateniere, located within the renowned Beaune appellation in Burgundy. The soils here are characteristically sandier when compared to the adjacent regions to the north and south. This geological difference contributes to wines that present a supple texture and are ready for earlier enjoyment.
Secure this expression of French white wine from the celebrated Côte de Beaune area.

Roche de Bellene
Son of the family who used to own the illustrious Domaine de la Pousse d’Or, Nicolas Potel set up his négociant label Maison Roche de Bellene in 2008. A Bourguignon through and through, Nicolas’ unrivalled local network of thoroughly reliable grower-suppliers allows him to source fruit from the most sought-after parcels in the Côte. The emphasis remains to this day on well-sited venerable vines and viticulture and the Maison Roche de Bellene label is the superlative source of attractive, well-priced Burgundy wines. The city of Beaune, called « Bellene » until the middle Age, is renowned for its Burgundy wines. Nicolas POTEL personally chose this brand name in reference to this city, historically linked with wine and famous for its diversity of terroirs.

Saint-Aubin wine is produced in the commune of Saint-Aubin in Côte de Beaune of Burgundy. Rather than being situated on the main Côte d'Or escarpment, as most of the other Côte de Beaune wine villages, the vineyards of Saint-Aubin are mainly located in a side valley to the west of Chassagne-Montrachet. The Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) Saint-Aubin may be used for white and red wine with respectively Chardonnay and Pinot noir as the main grape variety. The production consists of around 75% white wine, and 25% red wine
This St Aubin Premier Cru reveals aromas of green apple, citrus zest, and a touch of minerality. The wine is well-balanced with a creamy texture and refreshing acidity.
